The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) has bestowed the honor of Doctorate of Foodservice (DFS) award to Terry Conlon, ECM, of the University of Illinois. The award recognizes Conlon’s leadership and contributions to the National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) and the industry at-large. He is the current President of NAC and in 2013 was named the prestigious NAC Mickey Warner Award recipient.

The recognition will take place at two special events during The NAFEM Show, February 9-11, 2017, at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Fla. Conlon will receive the award at The All-Industry Awards Breakfast on Thursday, February 9, at 7:00 a.m.; and there will be a VIP Reception held prior to the After-Show Party on Saturday, February 11, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Away from his career, Conlon also finds time to help out in his community. He was selected as “Volunteer of the Year” for Crisis Nursery-an organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect by providing 24-hour care for children and support to strengthen families in crisis. He is also a member of the National Association of Collegiate Concessionaires (NACC).
