Your Support is Urged as The Re-Imagined NAC Charity Golf Outing Extends its Reach

In its 34th year, The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) Annual Golf Outing (formerly known as the Al Lapidus Classic) is announcing a change of name, and an expansion in the line-up of beneficiaries. The event will take place on April 23, 2018 at the Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas, just minutes away from Caesars Palace. The Association is calling on heightened sponsorship and player participation levels as the proceeds will benefit these deserving partners:

With a 90-year legacy of caring for children across the country when family income, insurance, and the government cannot, Variety – the Children’s Charity has grown to 21 chapters nationwide to assist in the treatment and care of children who have a disability or are disadvantaged. Through direct grants and programs, Variety provides the gifts of independence and self-esteem through mobility equipment and communication devices; survival, recovery, well-being and health through medical equipment; and education, confidence and achievement through scholarships, camps, and cultural experiences. NAC will present a donation check to former NAC President, and current Variety US President Ron Krueger at the CinemaCon all-industry breakfast on Tuesday.

Beginning in 1939 the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation established a self-perpetuating fund to assist pioneers of the motion picture industry who find themselves in need; the assistance to consist of direct financial aid, medical care and temporary business subsistence during periods of unemployment to eligible applicants.

The Variety Boys and Girls Club of Los Angeles was founded in 1949 and provides a myriad of services and opportunities for the varied citizens of Los Angeles. For more than 30 years, recipient of the Al Lapidus Golf Outing’s contributions for College and Trade School Scholarships for worthy club students.

NAC is a 74-year old not for profit trade association for the concession and hospitality channel which provides an educational forum, certification classes, legislative and regulatory information and advocacy and business to business networking opportunities for its numerous and varied theatre, recreational, sports and entertainment operator and supplier members.
