NAC Expo Attendees to Build Bikes for NOLA Teens

| July 17, 2018

The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) announced that its members will build 20 bikes during the upcoming Concession and Hospitality Expo held on August 7-10, 2018 at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. The bikes and accessories will be donated to Grow Dat Youth Farm, a local New Orleans nonprofit. NAC will also be making a $500 donation each to Youth Empowerment Project (YEP); Bike Easy and RUBARB, three bike-related nonprofits in New Orleans, for their assistance in the project.

The purpose of the bikes and accessories (locks and helmets) are to provide transportation to help engage teens in the New Orleans area to get involved in constructive education, activities and employment.

This year, NAC will create a community space in the middle of the Trade Show Floor in the Sheraton so that its attendees will have the opportunity to build the bikes for high school students who need the transportation.

The annual NAC Concession & Hospitality Expo travels to different venues around the country bringing together the top food and beverage concession leaders in the recreation and leisure-time industry. Each year, the trade association has taken time in the Expo agenda to participate in giving back to the host community.

Several NAC members have stepped forward with generous donation toward the completion of this worthy project. Thanks to the generous support of C. Cretors & Co.; Deel Media; Kernel Season’s, LLC; Promotion In Motion; Regal Foundation; US Variety; Ventura Foods and NAC.
