NAC Online Training Center

Welcome to the NAC Online Training Center. The Center offers virtual courses on education vital to concessionaires and their suppliers. The courses are applicable to all levels of concessions staff, from front-line to top management.

Available 24/7

Each of the courses is available on demand 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The courses are easy to use, work on almost any computer, and are self-paced. The online learning portal features a unique bookmarking process that allows students to log in and out of the program as necessary. The course keeps track of the student’s progress and returns them to the point where they last left off.

Each online course features an integrated final exam to test the student’s knowledge. If the student successfully passes the online exam, they can immediately print a completion certificate. The student’s certificate information will be kept in NAC’s Online Training Center indefinitely. Click here to access the NAC Online Training Center.

Available Courses:

Introduction to Food Safety $15
This 45-minute program teaches new employees the important basics of food safety. Course topics include:
• Explanation of foodborne illness
• Personal hygiene
• Proper handwashing techniques
• Cooking, thawing and storing both hot and cold foods
• Common causes of foodborne illness

Responsible Alcohol Service $25
This one-hour program focuses on the importance of selling and serving alcohol responsibly. Course topics include:
• The physical effects of alcohol
• Age verification and ID checking
• Recognizing intoxication
• Dealing with intoxicated customers
• Dram shop and common negligence
This program has been approved by the American Beverage Institute and is recognized by most major insurance carriers. Check with your insurance provider to see if you qualify for discounts by certifying your employees.

Harassment in the Workplace $45
This two-hour management course teaches food service leaders and supervisors how to proactively recognize and deal with potential workplace harassment issues. Course topics include:
• Common types of harassment
• The importance of harassment policies
• Investigation of harassment complaints
• Retaliation
• Remedies for harassment victims
The California version of this course meets the mandatory AB 1825 training requirements that went into effect January 1, 2006.

Volume Discounts

NAC members are eligible for volume discounts on NAC Online Training Center classes. The discounts range is from 10-40 percent, depending on the amount of registrations purchased. Only current members are eligible, and membership will be verified. The company will receive access codes for each class purchased. The codes are valid for one year from purchase.
