Job purpose
Mr. Stan Kroenke is embarking on a project to build the most iconic stadium and entertainment district in North America. The LA Stadium & Entertainment District will be home to the LA Rams, countless major concerts & sporting events, Super Bowls, and much more. As part of this project, Legends has been hired to oversee and manage various project development and sales & revenue aspects of the stadium project. This oversight includes the successful facilitation of the stadium naming rights partnership and the creation and monetization of a founding partner platform.
 
The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for generating revenue around naming rights, founding partnerships and stadium construction procurement sponsorships, all within a focused area of sales concentration. This area of sales focus could be specific industry categories, or specialized revenue projects.
 
The overall responsibility includes, but isn’t limited to, working with the sales support team on strategy, high-level brand prospecting, creation of first-class sales materials and direct selling to senior decision makers.
 
Duties and responsibilities
 
Revenue Generation:
Direct revenue responsibility around the naming and founding platforms.
Responsible for delivering on revenue targets within the area of sales focus
Solutions based selling. Analyze specific marketing needs of prospects & write effective proposals, utilizing all available assets, which are on target with the prospects objectives
Effectively present proposals in front of individuals and large groups
Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and brands
 
Strategy:
Assist in the development of the go-to-market strategy for naming rights
Assist in the development of the founding partner strategy, including target categories/brands, types of assets and integration into the stadium/fan experience
Lead the specific strategy development within the area of sales focus. This includes category development and creating competition amongst brands within a category
Close collaboration with LA Rams sales staff to maximize revenue growth across categories and levels of investment

Process:
Dedication to a CRM (KORE) process as a critical discipline
Manage a regular reporting process that informs sales management
Work closely with the Partnership Activation team to ensure that clients receive superior service and complete fulfillment of every contract detail
Assist with Team events and initiatives
Host current and prospective clients on game days

Job Requirements:
 
A proven track record of creating and selling fully integrated marketing programs
Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities with excellent communication skills
Experience selling a complicated new venue/property project is preferred
Pre-existing relationships with senior level marketing executives across top categories
Key agency contacts with media buyers, planners and senior media management
Supreme understanding of media/advertising buys and client/agency relationships
High energy and a personality that thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Experience in high-level relationship building and negotiating
Ability to work well with other team members
Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and demonstrate the ability to juggle multiple projects while keeping key constituents in the loop.
Strong work ethic and a competitive drive to win
Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings. This includes working all home games and some road games as necessary
 
Background:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, Sports Management, or other related field
Minimum of 8 years of successful selling of cross-platform sponsorship sales ideally in a major market and/or with a top-tier property
Success in managing integrated projects that touch various aspects of the organization is required
