NAC November Dallas Retreat Moves To Virtual

| August 25, 2020

The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) announced that it has canceled the NAC ReTreat scheduled for November 10-12 at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas. It has become very apparent that it is not possible at this time to hold the event in-person, but we are excited by the opportunity we will be providing all NAC members for a week-long distance learning opportunity.

All week-long events will be complimentary to NAC Members in good standing.

-Daily Hour-Long Zoom Educational Programming
-Daily Zoom Product Marketplace
-Committee Meetings
-Annual/Board Meeting with Award Ceremony
-Virtual Fun Run and Bike Ride
-Virtual NAC Education Fund Auction
-Virtual Venue Tours

More details are forthcoming but we certainly appreciate your patience and support as we continue to journey through the remarkable year of 2020.

Below are the contents of a letter from NAC President Adam Gottlieb sent to the members of NAC.

It is with regret, but realism, that I inform you the NAC Board of Directors will be forced to cancel the NAC Retreat scheduled for November 10-12 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. We had every intention to produce a remarkable in-person experience for our members. Planning an in-person event has become virtually impossible over the last few months and despite our desire to network and interact in-person we do believe that the best option at this point is to put all our efforts into future programming. While an in-person event is something we all look forward to every year, the Board of Directors strongly believes the safety and well-being of our members is paramount as we all work to reopen our industry.

We can’t get together in person, but we will be together in November. We are planning to host a week-long educational and networking virtual retreat during the week of November 10 with hour-long Zoom Educational Sessions, an Annual/Board Meeting where we will present to Bill Le Clair the 2020 Bert Nathan Award and to Charlie Gomez the 2020 Mickey Warner Award, a Vendor Showcase much like what we are conducting right now in our Monday NAC Vendor Aisle and even an Auction and a Virtual Fun Run and Bike Ride. Though it won’t be anything like what we have experienced at our annual EXPOs, it will be the next best thing and it will be great to interact with many of the NAC attending members. Unlike other Virtual Events we anticipate offering all this to all of our members in good standing at no additional cost. It is another benefit to being a NAC Member. We can’t be together, but we are definitely not alone.

Please join us as much as you can during the week of November 10 and make sure your Membership and contact information is up to date since that will be the only restriction to accessing these week long events.

Much more detail is forthcoming and as always, we thank you, the NAC Membership for your support during these challenging times while we provide you some of the best programming we have ever offered.

Adam Gottlieb
President
NAC Board of Directors
