As a Levy Restaurants Director of Purchasing, you will be responsible for ensuring product availability, quality and cost effectiveness while delivering “The Levy Difference”. You will maintain strong partnerships with all vendors, meet operations product needs on a timely basis and evaluate and recommend new products to enhance standards and increase profitability. It will be your responsibility to make all procurement business decisions in adherence with either your Director of Operations and/or General Manager while overseeing your manager(s).

Required Skills

Position Scope:

Responsible for developing strategy, and planning and executing all sourcing and purchasing activities for premium food production, including all ingredients and produce, dry goods and packaging. The Director of Purchasing will achieve revenue, profit and customer satisfaction through an organized, well-run, efficient Purchasing department.

Key Responsibilities:

-Work with Regional Leaders to ensure Purchasing strategies, revenue and product goals are achieved. Drive Purchasing performance, efficiency and economy in resource management.
-Ensure all vendors and suppliers meet service benchmarks, and perform ongoing evaluation of vendors and suppliers.
-Leverage demonstrated experience in cost-analysis and proven experience in managing the Purchasing process life cycle.
-Monitor usage, overstocking and aging of food products.
-Responsible for $5M+ annual spend.
-Continuously research alternative supplier options.
-Responsible for China, Silver, Glassware and all F&B supplies.
-Perform monthly inventory audit of food and beverage.
 
Required Experience

Skills and Experience:
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
-Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required, along with solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
-Highly organized, with ability to plan, prioritize, and follow through.
-Partners with the Team to maintain high morale levels.
-Employs sound judgment and exhibits personal integrity.
-Driven and adaptable with superior work ethic.
-Safety and Sanitation basics essential.
-5-8 years experience in a Purchasing leadership role with experience in food/food manufacturing.
