70th Anniversary NAC Membership Offer is One More Reason to Participate in Krystal La Reese-Gaule Award Competition
Last August, The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC), at its annual board meeting in New Orleans, introduced a new award. The Krystal La Reese-Gaule Annual Membership Award will be presented to the member who sponsors the most new NAC (Full) memberships during the most recent fiscal year. The individual will be provided a free registration to the 2014 Concession & Hospitality Expo (July 15-18) in Denver as well as a stunning trophy memorializing Krystal’s tireless efforts for NAC.
The Association is encouraging ALL members to participate in order to stimulate new member growth and continue Krystal’s legacy. To help in your efforts, NAC is now offering a special 70th Anniversary rate for first-time members of $180. The discount will be in effect until the Expo in July. Currently those in competition for the award are Maria Angles, ECM; Terry Conlon, ECM; Adam Gottlieb, ACS; Robert Jones, CCM; Skip Stefansen and Jeff Waaland.
The award is established in memory of former NAC Board Member and industry friend Krystal La Reese-Gaule, who passed away due to illness in early 2013. As an active NAC member since 1996 and a great advocate for the Association, Krystal had sponsored numerous new members for which she received the Ruby, Sapphire and Four-Point Diamond pin designation. At the time of her passing, she was on the verge of reaching Double Diamond status, a designation that only a few have achieved in the history of NAC.
Following a career in concessions management with GKC Theatres, Krystal joined Kernel Season’s popcorn seasoning as its National Sales Manager in 2005. Known for her warmth, contagious smile and outgoing personality, she was a natural salesperson and quickly made a name for herself in the concession and movie theatre industries.
The Award is sponsored by Kernel Seasons who employed Krystal for so many years.
