In Memory – Michael Bates

It is with great sorrow that the National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) reports the passing of long-time member and friend Michael Bates, ACS. The entire industry extends its thoughts to Mike’s family, former co-workers and friends at this difficult time. Mike passed away on Wednesday, November 25 at CHI Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Mike’s NAC career began in 1991 as a long-time member of Vistar. He moved to Ventura Foods in 2004 and retired in 2016. During this time, Mike earned his Accredited Concession Supplier (ACS) Certification. He also played an important role in promoting and planning the 2013 NAC Convention and Tradeshow in New Orleans
