Micalizzi Named as NAC Vice President
The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) has announced that Patrick Micalizzi, Vice-President of Global Food and Beverage for National Amusements Theatres, has been appointed to the position of Vice President on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. Micalizzi will fill the vacancy created by the sudden passing of Bill LeClair in November of 2023.According to NAC President Rob Novak, Micalizzi is a great fit for the position, “We are extremely excited to have Patrick join our Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. Patrick’s industry knowledge, experience and professional demeanor make him an excellent addition. We look forward the positive impact that Patrick will bring.”
Patrick Micalizzi currently serves as the Vice-President of Global Food and Beverage for National Amusements Theatres operating under the Showcase Cinemas and Cinema de Lux brands. He grew up in the cinema industry working at a neighborhood single-screen theatre at a young age, changing the marquee and sweeping the floors. Micalizzi even owned that single screen theatre for a period of time at age 18. He joined National Amusements over 31 years ago in 1992, where he started as a manager in the suburban New York City area.
Since joining National Amusements, Micalizzi has helped expand the food service offered from traditional concessions fare to more robust dining experiences, while also acquiring a number of liquor licenses for the cinemas. Today, he leads a talented team of professionals at Showcase delivering an elevated food service experience to their guests featuring full bars, quick-serve and casual-dine restaurants and in-cinema dining experiences.
Micalizzi has been a dedicated member of NAC for nearly 18 years and has long-served on the Expo Committee and was elected Northeast Regional Vice President following the last year’s convention. He resides in Lincoln, Rhode Island, a suburb of Providence. National Amusements operates 22 cinemas in the U.S., 16 in the United Kingdom, 7 in Argentina and 29 in Brazil where it operates under the UCI Cinemas banner.
