Job Summary
As our Concessions Manager, You will be responsible for the effective management and running of venue concessions operations including event planning support, scheduling and food preparation. You will also be responsible for production which includes: inventory, cash control, compliance with alcohol service polices, cleaning, safety, guest service, employee/volunteer training and supervision, troubleshooting, closing duties, and any other tasks assigned by the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.

Typical Duties
As our Concessions Manager, you will be providing oversight and resolution responsibility for employee performance issues. This will be a critical function for you because you will be actively mentoring, training, and helping employees and volunteers meet the company’s quality standards. Your goal will be to promote a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment. In addition, you will ensure that the part-time staff receives training, as well as coordinating and presenting the skills training module to Not For Profit (NFP) volunteers.

Additional responsibilities include:
Ensuring proper set-up to all concessions locations prior to opening doors; set-up duties may include (but are not limited to): verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers (employee/volunteer), ensuring sanitation standards are met, verifying that each location is fully operational

Providing a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient, and profitable execution of events

Willing to cover any open position; managing and running all venue concessions operations before, during, and after the events

Providing direction and oversight to Floor Supervisors, LMs, Concession Cooks, and CSRs; ensure that all Ovations and venue policies, procedures and practices are adhered to, including compliance with alcohol service and food handling / sanitation guidelines, general safety policies and procedures; reporting any alcohol service or other compliance issues to GM or AGM immediately

Completing post-event evaluations, data compilation, tracking of monetary and product shortages, generating reports; serving as a resource for POS applications, training, and hardware problems

Ensuring work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination; immediately addressing all safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents or incidents; relaying safety/health issues to management immediately

Ensuring event staff and volunteers are aware of work place expectations; providing on-going assistance, training and mentoring to event staff and volunteers; lead by example and providing on-going constructive feedback to staff

Minimum Qualifications
Possess valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required by state or local government

Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly

Preferred Qualifications
Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher in public administration, hospitality management, retail management, marketing, business administration or substantially similar area from an accredited college or university

Concessions Manager Certificate from the Nations Association of Concessions
