National Account Manager (Concessions) – Vistar
Vistar is the nation’s leading provider of candy, snacks, beverages, and other convenience and frozen foods. For more than four decades, Vistar has served customers spanning vending and coffee service distributors, theaters, big box retail stores, concessions, and the hospitality industry. Vistar operates more than 20 distribution centers and 11 Merchant’s Marts throughout the country.
This National Account Manager can be located anywhere in the US. However, Denver/Englewood is the preferred location.
The Manager of National Accounts will perform the following duties:
-Manage customer relationships by developing regular communications with key customer personnel. Respond promptly to all complaints from customer and follow up to ensure problem resolution
-Act as liaison between customer and company to work out details regarding services, products and problems
-Attend customer functions, industry retreats, etc. in an effort to secure positive relations with customer
-Communicate and coordinate as the primary channel of communication between headquarters and purchasing, information services, and accounting departments
-Promote customer profitability by working with account managers to retain and grow accounts and maintain profitability. This may include, but is not limited to managing dead and slow inventory, accounts receivable/deposits, unrealistic service requests and balanced loads, etc.
-Inventory management by working with brokers and supplier reps to keep up with customer’s needs. Work with purchasing to ensure products needed to serve multi-unit customers are ordered timely.
-Coordinate product changes, requirements, etc. with purchasing and operations. Work closely with purchasing and operations to achieve goals of no dead stock, damaged goods, or out of stock items. Respond to problems with inventory as needed.
-Performs other duties as needed
– High School Diploma or Equivalent
– 5+ years experience in outside sales in food/bev or CPG
– Must be a go getter
– Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related area
– Outside sales experience in Concessions experience HIGHLY preferred
– National, regional/multi-unit, Corporate account management strongly preferred
