Variety Boys and Girls Club has a 65-year tradition of providing worthwhile and meaningful activities and programs to the children and youth of the community. They offer services to any child who wants, and/or needs them. There are no geographical limitations to membership, although most of our members come from areas surrounding the Club. Variety is an international organization of people in the entertainment business whose goal is to help underprivileged children.
The Golf Classic is named for the late NAC past president Al Lapidus, and proceeds from the tournament benefit college scholarships for the Variety Boys & Girls Club of East Los Angeles, the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, and the educational programs of the National Association of Concessionaires.
