The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) has named Dustin Smith, CCM, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment as the Regional Vice President (RVP) for Canada. The appointment is effective immediately.

The primary focus of an RVP is to present NAC Educational Programs such as regional seminars, certification classes (CCM, ECM, ACS, and ACE) and other educational opportunities in their area.

Smith currently serves as Manager of Concessions at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. Prior to that he was the Assistant Manager. In addition to his experience with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, He also spent time with Gordon Ramsay Holdings and ClubLink Corporation in Food and Beverage positions.

His first job within the hospitality industry was working as a dishwasher at an independently owned neighborhood restaurant. Working in a variety of different positions provided Smith with knowledge of how the industry operates as a whole. I’ve had the privilege of growing my career to my current role as a Manager of Concessions,” said Smith, “Over my eight years with MLSE I’ve been a part of our In-Seat Service, Vending and Concessions operations.”

Smith received his education from Niagara College in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality and Tourism. “As education is a lifelong process” he said, “I have continued my education and training by taking courses with the WSET, food safety and most recently completing the NAC’s CCM Course.”
