Linda and Skip Stefansen

It is with great sadness that the National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) announces the passing of exhibition industry stalwart David ‘Skip’ Stefansen. He enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a valuable member and leader of the Association which he joined in 1976 and remained active in until his passing.

Stefansen served as the President of NAC from 1999-2001 and as Board Chairman from 2001-2003. Described as an extreme volunteer, Stefansen and his wife Linda were the driving force behind the Al Lapidus Golf Tournament (NAC Charity Golf Outing) and staunch supporters of the Variety Boys and Girl Club in East Los Angeles.

An advocate of belonging to NAC and its benefits, Stefansen was responsible for recruiting many new members which resulted in receiving the coveted Triple Diamond Pin in 2006.

Stefansen was also on a long list of exceptionally talented and generous honorees to receive NAC’s highest honor, the Bert Nathan Memorial Award. Given by NAC each year to recognize leadership and significant accomplishment in the Theatre Concessions Industry, the award honors the late Bert Nathan, a past president of the Association and industry leader.

Please join NAC in extending our heartfelt sympathies to Linda and family during these trying times. We will provide additional details when they become available.
