NAC President’s 2015 Expo Scholarship Available

The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) has announced that it is now accepting applications for the 2015 President’s Concession & Hospitality Expo Scholarship. The scholarship package includes full Expo registration, three nights of hotel accommodations, and a travel stipend to this year’s event on July 21-24, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati and the adjacent Duke Energy Convention Center.

Requirements for the scholarship include current membership in NAC, five years or less experience in the industry, and that the member has never attended the Expo, along with a short essay. APPLICATION DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JUNE 5, 2015. You can download an application form at www.naconline.org.

Founded by then-NAC President Maria Angles, ECM, with an initial donation in 2009, the President’s Expo Scholarship Fund was created to provide a scholarship package each year to the annual event. The Fund will continue through donations and proceeds from the NAC Silent Auction and the NAC Run/Walk. Past recipients of the scholarship include Tara Buck of Classic Cinemas; Mike Scarpino, CCM, of the Calgary Flames; Gary Butske Jr. of Emagine Entertainment; Denise Ferro, CCM, of Phoenix Big Cinemas; Lindsey Roake of Clearview Cinemaa: Jeff Hanauer, CCM, of Ovations Food Service and Stephen Lew, CCM, New Orleans City Park.
