As Movie Theatres and Entertainment Venues around the world slowly begin to open their doors and begin showing first-run feature films, one of most critical aspects of their business will be reassuring moviegoers that their buildings are as clean and disinfected as can be. To that end, Digital Light Sources (DLS) has added a long list of items to its offerings to help exhibitors reach that important goal. In April, DLS reached an exclusive distribution agreement with American Ultraviolet to use its UVC Disinfection Equipment and systems to disinfect movie theatres in the United States in preparation for reopening.
“By being diligent and proactive against COVID-19, we can bring the proven power of UVC light in air sterilization and surface disinfection to any U.S. movie theatre building. The UVC technology works to disinfect HVAC air as well as surfaces and water,” said Sami Haddad, President of DLS. “DLS is very excited to work with American Ultraviolet on this unique and much needed program. This opportunity can only emphasize our company’s position and commitment to help the cinema industry win back customer confidence for a sustained recovery from COVID-19.”
“American Ultraviolet’s UVC equipment, when utilized correctly, stops the spread of airborne microorganisms in the air and on surfaces,” said Meredith Stines, president of American Ultraviolet. “We are glad to be the supplier for DLS and look forward to a long term relationship.”
Now DLS offers the following NEW products:
Fast, safe and secure UV-C Germicidal Disinfection Bio-shift Chambers by Philips/Signify that enable 360-degree disinfection of small and large objects like rental and shared items, handheld devices and tablets, tools, mail, books and packages.
