NATO President and CEO, John Fithian, recently sent an email to colleagues within NAC to inform them of yet another attempt to encourage movie patrons to sneak food and beverage into theatres. The notifications triggered letters to the editor and publisher of HGTV Magazine from both Fithian and NAC Executive Vice President, Dan Borschke.

NAC LETTER

The action is in response to a column that was published in the September 2014 edition of the magazine. The author of the column seeks to answer the question, “How bad is it to sneak food into a movie theatre?” The author reaches that conclusion that, “In general, it’s OK to smuggle your own goodies in the movies….”

Both Fithian and Borschke request that their letters be published in an upcoming edition of HGTV Magazine.
